In January 1952 Waterford Schools Teachers' Credit Union began servicing the Waterford School District's teachers. Soon after the grand opening, all faculty and staff were welcomed as members. In the years following, the Holly School District was included. When membership was expanded to students, families and small employment groups, a name change was in order.

Now Metro North Federal Credit Union is a full service and highly competitive financial institution of nearly 10,000 members. The credit union philosophy of "PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE" continues to be a motto in which we value.
